POSITION SUMMARY:

Reporting to the New York Life Group Benefits Solutions (GBS) Marketing lead this role is responsible for traditional marketing support aligned with deliverables such as campaign execution, proof reading and reporting in addition to managing operations of the GBS marketing team.

 

This role requires a strategic and tactical mindset, ability to plan, coordinate and execute programs in collaboration with teammates, the business and corporate partners. The selected candidate must have a results-driven mindset with focus on organization, efficiencies, and problem solving. In addition, having business-to-business (B2B) and direct-to-consumer (DTC) communications tactics delivery experience to drive both sales growth and customer engagement/experience are important.  To be effective in the role, the candidate must be able to thrive in a dynamic, sometimes ambiguous, environment, cutting through the clutter to deliver impactful and efficient results.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • End-to-end B2B and B2C campaign and project management support including launch and measurement providing actionable insights for ongoing enhancements.
  • Facilitate review of programs and identify any that could negatively impact the experience of a producer, employer and / or employee across all stages of the lifecycle and channels. Escalate potential risks to program manager and support for resolution.
  • Assist with prioritization assessment of all incoming projects in alignment with GBS business priorities and goals. Data capture as needed for prioritization.
  • Liaison with procurement to ensure contract optimization. Draft requirements, statements of work and ongoing contract evaluation in partnership with marketing centers of excellence leads.
  • Provide tactical support including but not limited to proof reading and quality control across marketing campaigns, communications and channels.
  • Partner with compliance, legal, brand and other key stakeholders to ensure programs are delivered in compliance with all applicable regulations, NYL and GBS policies and guidelines.
  • Help build effective team dynamics and successful program execution through the identification and delivery of required tools and capabilities. Team meetings and planning.
  • Development and launch standardized processes and procedures unique to marketing in alignment with corporate.
  • Outside-in marketing communications experience to support differentiated experiences – regardless of channel.
  • Contribute to a stakeholder focused culture within NYL GBS by demonstrating the strategic and financial significance of a business anchored in deep customer, client, and business partner insights and understanding.
  • Demonstrate NYL values, including teamwork and enterprise view, and drive a high performance culture
  • Other administrative and process assignments as necessary to deliver on NYL GBS marketing goals.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of marketing or marketing communications experience
  • Modern Marketer skill set: ability to understand and grasp marketing strategy and approach, leverage data and insights to inform enhancements, link business need to action, understand how to leverage digital tactics/channels to execute marketing strategy
  • Ability to take a project from campaign development to delivery of tactics in market
  • Highly organized and collaborative across multi-functional and matrix partners at all levels
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, rapidly changing, and sometimes ubiquitous team-based environment across multiple functions and in support of diverse buying groups and geographies
  • Critical thinker and creative problem solver, who exercises good judgment in resolving difficult situations, prioritizes and can balance needs with business and corporate objectives
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment, and juggle multiple, sometimes competing, priorities and requirements cutting through the clutter to deliver impactful and efficient results
  • Experience executing strategy and tactics within time, budget and quality standards
  • A strategic and tactical mindset, ability to plan, coordinate and execute programs in collaboration with teammates
