- Performs record keeping oversight of designated business and corporate areas and provides support to facilitate compliance with NYL's record keepting requirements
- Vets and updates NYL's Master Retention Schedule on an ad hoc and annual basis to ensure compliance with legal, regulatory and business requirements
- Performs third party reviews (before on-boarding) to ensure that records and information will be managed in accordance with NYL's record keeping requirements
- Maintains ownership/custodianship of a taxonomy associated with a key content management system (FileNet).
- Provides oversight and support to the business for records stored in off-site storage facilities
- Partner with Technology to implement records management policies in Office 365 applications and other repositories (e.g., shared drive)
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher; 7+ years of relevent experience at an insurance or financial services company
- Strong command of records and information governance principles and requirements, and the ability to ensure that policies and procedures are being followed
- Experience with electronic document management/content management applications
- Experience with managing off-site storage facility relationships
- Experience with records destruction projects
- Strong knowledge and demonstrated experience with Office 365 applications and associated record keeping functionality
- Working knowledge of legal and regulatory records retention requirements pertaining to life insurance and broker dealers
- Ability to work independently, as well as a part of a team
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to communicate complex information to a wide variety of audiences
- Must have an excellent organization, analytical and problem solving skills

Salary range: $115,000-$175,000
Overtime eligible: Exempt
Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes
Sales bonus eligible: No
