IndexIQ is expanding its sales team and is seeking a highly-motivated and client-oriented Divisional ETF Strategists to support its ETF growth in the advisor channel. This individual will report to IndexIQ and will be responsible for partnering with Third Party Distribution to segment, identify and develop relationships with advisors to grow IndexIQ ETF sales and AUM in the division.


Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and execute a targeted business plan to generate ETF sales activity and ETF sales with the Division’s Retail Advisor Consultants.
  • Create a strong and client-oriented sales process using a variety of tools.
  • Expand the NYL Investments/IndexIQ advisor base and increase ETF sales and AUM growth within the assigned territory.
  • Prospect large, sophisticated, high potential teams within the Wirehouse, Regional, Independent Broker-Dealer, and bank channels that may use IndexIQ ETFs or be new to IndexIQ coverage.
  • Engage top ETF advisors with the IndexIQ ETF strategies, industry knowledge, capital markets perspectives, and portfolio construction insights.
  • Provide coverage and support to the Division, including joint territory travel, client conference calls and regular communication to coordinate advisor coverage and ensure transparency in client-facing activity.
  • Provide consistent communication to IndexIQ’s Chief Commercial Officer and the Divisional Sales Manager on sales strategy, activity, pipeline, marketplace receptivity and market intelligence. Ensure alignment with long-term initiatives in distribution, marketing and product.
  • Maintain knowledge and understanding of capital markets and industry topics.



  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Self-starter with a strong drive for results
  • Track record of proven sales experience and results, including territory management, communication, consultative approach, and client-facing sales skills
  • 5+ years industry sales experience, working in partnership with a retail sales team to target advisors
  • 3+ years ETF sales experience with demonstrated sales success
  • Ability and willingness to travel regularly within the assigned territory 
  • FINRA Series 7 and Series 63 licenses required



Salary range: $70,000 - $75,000 

Overtime eligible: Exempt 

Discretionary bonus eligible: No 

Sales bonus eligible: Yes
