The Strategy and Marketing Operations role will be a key contributor on the Third-Party Distribution (TPD) team, responsible for developing a marketing plan, driving initiatives, and creating marketing processes, while leveraging enterprise Marketing resources. Positioned to diversify the company’s distribution models, TPD strategically supports the company for continued growth. TPD focuses on the high net worth (HNW) market to minimize channel conflict. 

 

The ideal candidate for this role will be highly motivated and approach problems with a sense of urgency, utilize data to inform decisions, and be curious in exploring innovative solutions. Excellent listening, communication, and presentation skills are required.

 

Primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Amplify top-down and executive communications – frame and unpack team vision to ensure they are communicated, understood and adopted (e.g. intranet and year-end comms)
  • Create, support and maintain TPD-specific marketing content: sales concepts, flyers and how-to-guides (e.g. Producer Guide, Underwriting Guide, BGA One-Pagers, etc.)
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to understand the business goals, strategies, and objectives to inform the development of strategic plans for sales, marketing, and operations.
  • Develop (design, copy and production) TPD monthly newsletter, manage client lists and facilitate distribution
  • Support go-to-market strategies and communication plans for new product releases.
  • Represent TPD as assigned in product development working groups to coordinate implementation of new product releases and riders.
  • Work with stakeholders to create and implement an annual marketing plan, leveraging enterprise Marketing department resources.
  • Assist leadership in building and maintaining strong relationships with strategic partners (e.g., LIBRA, Ash Brokerage, etc.)
  • Consistently contribute new ways to optimize, a/b test and automate
  • Create decks and presentation materials with central themes and branding for conferences
  • Maintain TPD website: publish new content, streamline navigation and increase online presence to BGAs and Producers
  • Build scalable processes – create structure and processes for teams to fix our top problems, help the team operate more effectively and efficiently and cultivate a growth mindset
  • Manage end-to-end projects through clear communications against diligent timelines
  • Support the team’s day-to-day activities (e.g. event planning, conferences, promotions, campaigns, announcements, etc.) to help drive incremental sales growth and expand into new markets (Credit Unions, Banks, etc.)
  • Serve as a liaison between TPD and the Life Business to ensure alignment on regulatory and procedural changes (Compliance, New Business, Underwriting, etc.) and Product releases
  • Use data and insights to inform conclusions and support decision-making

 

Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience preferred
  • Minimum of 5+ years’ relevant experience required, with expertise in marketing, operations, project management preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Strong project management skills, and attention to detail
  • Ability to foster relationships and work effectively with cross-functional teams; motivating others through both in-person and virtual interactions
  • Proven ability to simultaneously manage multiple, competing priorities
  • Ability to manage stakeholder engagement and appropriately set expectations
  • Strong sense of ownership and proactive approach
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft productivity tools, especially PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Visio.
