Duties: Analyzes complex data sets, tracks and measures insights, builds critical dashboards, and draws key insights by utilizing Tableau, Hadoop, Data Wrangling, SQL, Python, R, and TOAD.  Works with partners and stakeholders to design and create user-accepted dashboards. Designs analytics and reporting deliverables. Provides data expertise and leads data discovery to identify key insights and trends to help drive strategic recommendations. Performs data abstraction, cleansing, validation, modeling, interpretation, and reporting. Analyzes and processes data, extracts value from it, and communicates results to senior team members and key stakeholders throughout the organization. Works closely with customers and IT teams to turn data into critical information and knowledge to make sound business decisions.

 

Education & Experience Requirements: 

Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) and 3 years of business intelligence and data visualization experience, including working with relational databases to create insights from large data sets

Or, in the alternative:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) and 5 years of business intelligence and data visualization experience, including working with relational databases to create insights from large data sets

 

Required Special Skills:

Experience must include 3 years in each of the following skills:

  1. Analyzing and managing BI projects with large data sets in support of strategic objectives;

               

  1. Leveraging Tableau Desktop and Server to create reports;

               

  1. Creating dashboards and visualizations by gathering requirements, performing data sufficiency exercises, creating sketch designs, and performing dashboard authoring; and,

               

  1. Working on Tableau report and data extraction performance tuning.
