Duties: Analyzes complex data sets, tracks and measures insights, and creates dashboards and visualizations. Gathers requirements, performs data sufficiency exercises, and sketches designs. Designs analytics and reporting deliverables and leads data discovery to identify key insights and trends to help drive strategic recommendations. Performs data abstraction, cleansing, validation, modeling, interpretation, and reporting. Extracts, understands, and processes data to derive value from data, and communicates with internal team members and key stakeholders. Works closely with internal customers and IT teams to turn data into critical information and knowledge used to make sound business decisions. Works with partners and stakeholders to design and create dashboards. Delivers ad hoc reports and analytics within an agreed-upon Service Level Agreement (SLA). Participates in business reviews related to analytical findings and strategic planning discussions. Communicates complex concepts to all levels of leadership.  Ensures solutions meet clients' needs and supports the extraction of actionable information. Provides support for all data-related solutions related to program, report, and data feed design as well as data aggregation. Blends data from various data sources to produce actionable information. Leverages visualizations skills for "Story-telling" through data and key performance indicators (KPIs). Designs, develops, and maintains reporting systems.

 

Education & Experience Requirements:

Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Management or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) and 3 years of experience performing data analysis, data engineering, dashboard development, and data visualization with Tableau.

Or, in the alternative:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Management or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) and 5 years of experience performing data analysis, data engineering, dashboard development, and data visualization with Tableau.

 

Required Special Skills:

 

Experience must include 3 years in each of the following skills:

 

(1) Applying data analytics and business intelligence (BI) to track real-time product performance;

               

(2) Working with a cross-functional team to drive BI delivery efforts across SQL-based reporting (relational databases) and ETL platform;

               

(3) Working hands-on with Tableau to deliver Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and assisting senior leadership to spot emerging trends by comparing data and historical metrics;

       

(4) Manipulating Big Data sets leveraging tools such as Hadoop or Hive, and data wrangling and pulling data from data warehouses, marts, and lakes; and,

       

(5) Leveraging Python for data analysis, Tableau for reporting, and SQL for data storage.
