Role Overview:

 

The Senior Analyst is a member of the Continuous Improvement Academy. This role will work closely with the Head of CI Academy, Change Agents, Change Leaders, Sustainability Leaders, Sr Sustainability Leaders, Continuous Improvement Leadership team, business partners, Sr Leaders, Managers, Directors and frontline colleagues. The Sr Analyst will support the deployment team with conducting diagnostic activities including the use of Lean diagnostic tools and analysis. This role will be responsible for creating, implementing, and updating the knowledge management system for the CI center.  This will include standard work, training materials, templates and examples of completed work.  This role is also accountable for training material creation and updates, mentoring and coaching of newer members, and continuously striving for the best-in-class training program through proactive, impactful actions.

 

We are seeking an experienced Senior Analyst to support the deployment teams in diagnostic analysis, content management and training support. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in diagnostic analysis, content management, facilitation, content creation, and extensive knowledge of Continuous Improvement principles, tools and methodologies. 

The Senior Analyst position requires an experienced professional with exceptional and proven communication skills, strong technical proficiency, and a dedication to continuous learning and development. The ideal candidate must be a leader in driving organizational change initiatives within our team, maintaining strong working relationships, and fostering a culture of accountability, growth, inclusivity, and operational excellence within our organization.

 

What You’ll Do:

 

Diagnostic Analysis Support:

 

  • Engage with active deployment teams to help identify diagnostic opportunities.
  • Lead diagnostic analysis with deployment team.
  • Train deployment team members on the use of diagnostic tools and analysis specific to the business they are engaging with.
  • Help deployment team with creation of data collection plans

Knowledge Management:

 

  • Design knowledge management framework for the Continuous Improvement training curriculum, design standards, standard work, examples, templates and tools
  • Create knowledge management system engaging full Continuous Improvement team in loading, maintaining and updating the contents.
  • Process Confirm Change Teams in the loading maintaining updating and using the contents of knowledge management system
  • Trouble shoot and continually improve knowledge management system.

 

Training Facilitation:

 

  • Utilize Participant-Centered training techniques to foster curiosity, achieve greater engagement, and promote retention of learning. 
  • Foster a growth mindset with NYL leadership practices.
  • Adjust the pace and tone of the training to meet participant needs.
  • Provide concise instructions and establish clear expectations for topics and activities.
  • Coach and provide candid feedback to participants to facilitate continual learning and growth.
  • Support Change teams in planning, preparing and facilitating business line CI training events.  Completing training observations and provide candid feedback to training facilitators to help them improve in their delivery of content.

Foundational Training Support:

 

  • Analyze effectiveness of training programs and proactively communicate improvement opportunities to Head of Academy
  • Identify and formally recommend program improvements including recommended plans to implement any changes.
  • Develop and execute plans for ongoing revisions and updates to training materials to align with evolving business practices.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office content authoring tools and templates such as PowerPoint, Word and Excel to develop and update training content.
  • Utilize Learning Plans and Pathways in The Learning Exchange to serve Foundational class content.
  • Review post-training evaluations and classroom observations to identify opportunities for self-development.

 

Training Content Creation

 

  • Create training content for the Continuous Improvement team and the business lines we support.
  • Create training on existing Continuous Improvement principles, tools and methodologies.
  • Research, learn and create training for new Continuous Improvement concepts, tools and methodologies.
  • Create training on Lean diagnostic tools and analysis.
  • Update and maintain Continuous Improvement Curriculum.
  • Create tools and templates to augment new and existing training content

Team and Thought Leadership

 

  • Design, create and deploy a knowledge management framework for the Continuous Improvement training curriculum, design standards, standard work, templates and tools
  • Represent Continuous Improvement Academy team perspectives and interests on stretch assignments and network-wide projects.
  • Observe and review performance of Change Team delivering Continuous Improvement Curriculum. Provide feedback on performance and recommendations to improve effective training delivery.   
  • Co-facilitate with and observe newer Trainers to provide feedback and increase competence.

 

What You’ll Bring:

 

  • 5+ years experience with Continuous Improvement/ Lean deployment
  • Experience in Lean diagnostic skills.
  • 5+ years experience in completing Lean diagnostic analysis
  • 2+ years classroom or virtual training, on-the-job training, or mentoring/coaching experience
  • Proficient in the use of the following:
    • Web conferencing and similar tools to facilitate training  
    • Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, SharePoint, and Teams
    • Knowledge management tools including MS Teams and SharePoint
  • Strong knowledge of Continuous Improvement tools, methodologies, principles and transformation approach
  • Experience leading projects or initiatives that stayed on track, were completed on time, and made a positive impact within the organization   
  • Thought leadership, mentoring, and fostering relationships with business partners
  • 2+ years experience training, coaching and prepping others to lead training/ workshops
  • 2+ years experience in creating training modules
  • Extensive knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma diagnostic tools and practices
  • Strong skills in teaching others to complete Diagnostic analysis
  • Strong skills in creating, updating, maintaining and storing standard work.
  • Strong knowledge management skills including the storing updating and reporting on CI curriculum and standards
  • Excellent Continuous Improvement Diagnostic skills and the ability to support Change Teams in diagnostic activities including but not limited to diagnostic analysis, and hypothesis building.
  • Strong Continuous Improvement metrics comprehension, creation, calculation and analysis to support Change Teams
  • Excellent facilitation skills with an ability to lead blended programs to support a remote workforce
  • Ability to collaborate and work productively on multiple programs with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to develop positive working relationships with team members at all levels of the organization
  • Strong organization and program management skills; effectively adapts to multiple and/or competing priorities
  • Excellent communications skills; with experience tailoring messaging and communications to diverse stakeholder groups
  • Excellent professional writing and editing skills; ability to break down complex ideas and information into logical, digestible chunks
  • Excellent motivational skills to mentor and coach learners and new trainers
  • Continuously improves own capabilities and areas of expertise while also supporting the development of others

Moderate travel, approximately 8 times a year

Pay Transparency

Salary range: $110,000-$190,000 

Overtime eligible: Exempt 

Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes 

Sales bonus eligible: No 

 

Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual’s experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
