POSITION SUMMARY:

 

Marketing professional, aligned to New York Life’s Group Benefit Solutions Marketing (NYL GBS) Team, is responsible for the development, targeted execution, and enhancements of customer enrollment materials and aligned programs that deliver a positive experience that influences acquisition and retention. This role requires direct-to-consumer (DTC) strategy and communications tactics delivery experience and possess the ability to translate business objectives and impacts into DTC marketing strategy, plans, and campaign execution.  Candidates work closely with Distribution / Enrollment, Marketing, and Product teams to implement human-centered messaging, content, and campaign assets across multiple channels, (e.g. social media, email, direct mail, print / collateral, and internet / digital marketing) and customization to meet the needs of employers and their employees while supporting scale and efficiencies for the organization. 

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Responsible for the development and enhancements of the NYL GBS customer enrollment material with the goal of acquiring and retaining customers via education, promotion, and messaging.
  • Partner with Marketing Communications and Creative teams to develop employee-facing content and assets that enhance the customer’s experience, build relationships beyond enrollment and claim, increase knowledge, and brand visibility.
  • Deliver ongoing enhancements to optimize effectiveness and identify new approaches for team consideration.
  • Manage end-to-end customer campaigns and projects from launch to measurement to reporting of results.
  • Collaborate with the Enrollment Support team to anticipate and execute on customer enrollment strategy and needs. 
  • Works with multiple matrix partners (e.g. Enrollment Support, Distribution, Marketing and Product) to develop and manage assets.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the NYL GBS customer’s voice to enable effective design, development, and execution of enrollment-related programs.
  • Partner with compliance, legal, and other key stakeholders to ensure our strategies and tactics are delivered in a manner that complies with all applicable regulations and NYL policies.
  • Understand competitive environment, including emerging solutions, and work to differentiate NYL GBS solutions, as well as identifying opportunities for innovation.
  • Demonstrate company values, including teamwork and enterprise view, and contribute to a high-performance culture.
  • Ability to assess marketing needs and requirements for use in technological applications and tools; the aptitude to provide clear directions to technology partners.    

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business
  • 2-5 years of previous Group (Life, Accident, Disability and Voluntary insurance) marketing related experience, enrollment-specific preferred
  • Must possess strong interpersonal communication (both oral and written), time management, organizational, and planning and negotiation skills.
  • Be able to analyze and disseminate data and then apply information to strategy and plans.
  • Strong self-starter, proactive problem-solver, familiar and comfortable with fast-paced, timeline-driven work environment, and highly efficient at multi-tasking.
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, rapidly changing, and sometimes ambiguous team-based environment across multiple functions.
  • Critical thinker and creative problem solver, who exercises good judgment in resolving difficult situations. Must be able to prioritize and balance needs with business and corporate objectives.
  • Ability to see larger picture and make connections as to how strategy, messaging, and tactics work together.

Salary range: $90,000-$135,000 

Overtime eligible: Exempt 

Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes
