This role supports Group Life & Disability Underwriters through the processing and loading of census data that is used by Underwriters to create and establish rates. This role requires proficiency working with data files in Excel and strong analytical and organizational skills.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Reviews incoming census request/files for critical data elements needed for processing, scrubbing and prepares files for uploading into the Census Manipulator and applies appropriate occupation codes.
  • Develops and maintains a thorough understanding of all census loading processes, guidelines, best practices, and use of associated software applications.
  • Approaches daily deliverables with customer centric focus and sense of urgency, meeting tight deadlines (24 hrs).
  • Actively works to build upon knowledge and experience gained on basic processes and apply those concepts to various types of files and levels of complexity.
  • Builds and maintains effective relationships with matrix partners, interacting with Underwriters as necessary to acquire or confirm information to ensure case can be properly processed.
  • Participates in committee and project work in addition to core production deliverables. 
  • May cross train in other areas to help additional teams during peak times. 

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
  • Proficient in Microsoft office, with basic understanding of Advance Microsoft Excel.

Salary range: $47,000 - $69,000 

Overtime eligible: Nonexempt 

Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes
