ROLE OVERVIEW

  • The GOE Business Project Advisor will report to the GOE Business Process Management Project Lead and be assigned to a Business Domain to drive business process and business analysis objectives set by the program.
  • Leads analytical and/or process project activities for GOE or components of a larger project and be involved in the evaluation of business requirements and/or the development of new procedures/ processes/policy solutions to address complex business needs.
  • Will assess impact and implications from a cost, efficiency, contractual, legal and/or regulatory standpoint.
  • Contribute to, support and manage the GOE Business Process Library.
  • Assists with requirements, helps to provide input into project plans, establishes priorities and monitors progress.
  • Position will be an individual contributor working on significant processes utilizing independent judgment and discretion within a business organization or across various functional areas.

 

ROLE DESCRIPTION

  • Serve as Business Process Analysis Lead under the GOE Project Portfolio responsible and accountable for delivery of all business operations related functions for the Cigna Group Functional business areas. 
  • Must be able to function and execute within Agile and Waterfall based projects.
  • Support a combination of key business analysis functions, including business requirements, process engineering, business acceptance testing, business operational readiness and release management. 
  • Engage and cultivate ongoing working relationships with assigned business SMEs and IT partners to meet deliverables.
  • Responsible for providing input to technical design so business interests are represented.
  • Help to ensure sign-off on project based documents from appropriate Business constituents.
  • Responsible for ensuing business preparedness for execution of all Business Acceptance Testing phases.
  • Accountable for documenting and gaining business validation of current and future state business models and processes and maintaining Business Process Library. 
  • Responsible to support and drive business readiness activities in conjunction with IT and business operations partners including Standard Operating Procedures, training materials, production support models and release management.   

 

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelors/Master’s degree or equivalent work experience required. 
  • 5-7 years of progressive business analysis experience supporting the various business domains across the group insurance value chain preferred.  Industry experience with these domains outside of the group insurance (i.e. Healthcare/International/Finance/Banking) industry will be considered.       
  • 5-7 years of relevant related business operational or project work experience with both Agile and Waterfall based projects
  • Proven experience in at least four of the analytical domains required: business requirements, process engineering, business acceptance testing, business operational readiness, release management and robotic process automation. 
  • Experience with BPM methodologies, modeling techniques and expertise with modeling tools, i.e., Microsoft Visio
  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma and other process improvement and design techniques.
  • Ability to cross-train and learn additional business analysis domains required. 
  • Experience partnering with other business leads and subject matter experts to drive results required. 
  • Experience managing business and IT relationships in a matrixed environment required.
  • Cross-functional project experience with an emphasis on business and IT integration preferred.    
  • Experience managing matrixed resources, processes and support plans for the business operational readiness phases (training, SOPs, production implementation) of a project as required.  
  • Experience developing business models, workflows and business readiness plans to ensure delivery is meeting the needs of the business
  • Experience gathering, documenting and signing off on business-related documentation throughout the business value chain required.
