Job Requirements

The ideal candidate should have an undergraduate degree, be analytically inclined, and possess at least two years of relevant experience from a top-tier investment bank or private equity firm.  This position requires a well-rounded individual with demonstrated competency in financial statement analysis, financial modeling, business valuation, accounting and finance, in addition to the ability to balance multiple tasks and work well in a team environment. Compensation for this position is competitive and includes a base salary and performance-based bonus.

 

Associate Responsibilities

  • Analysis of and development of investment recommendation thesis for primary fund commitments and direct equity co-investments
  • Quantitative responsibilities include financial modeling, valuation and returns analysis, and fund benchmarking
  • Qualitative responsibilities including due diligence of companies, industry sectors, customers, vendors, management, competitors and private equity sponsors
  • Evaluation and monitoring of the ongoing performance of portfolio company and private equity fund commitments, including participation in private equity sponsor annual meetings and portfolio company board meetings
  • Supporting marketing to current and prospective Apogem limited partners
  • Active participation in and thoughtful contribution to investment decisions, including weekly Investment Committee presentations and portfolio construction considerations
