This position involves a hybrid work schedule - working remotely: Monday & Friday / on site: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
 

 

Integration Program Manager to coordinate multiple teams, partners and key stakeholders to drive the delivery of strategic Application Integration initiatives. 

 

  • Specific initiatives will include business development and transformation project efforts.  Provide oversight, direction, communication on key initiatives to ensure project and program objectives are met utilizing NYL lean-agile framework.
  • Overall responsibility for participating in planning, coordinating activities pertaining to programs on an enterprise level. 
  • Ability to coordinate complex projects across the NYL enterprise and among all levels of the organization. 
  • Participates in project scope creation, assist with technology research, assist with defining minimal business increments
  • Collaborate with Project Managers, Business Owners, Product Owners, Scrum Masters & Delivery Teams
  • Helps manage the flow of work through delivery stages
  • Communicates effectively to all departments on project status, risks, issues, and dependencies
  • Lead projects in a transparent and productive way, applying standard agile project management practices
  • Act as champion of change and facilitate change management process to ensure value realization is met
  • Demonstrate ongoing commitment to professional growth in lean-agile practices and program/project management

 

Required Qualifications 

 

  • Bachelor's degree from a 4-year college or university
  • Minimum 5 years of Project Management experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of SOAP or REST APIs and integration patterns
  • General Information Technology, Software Development & Design, Project Management, Critical Thinking, and Business Development knowledge preferred
  • Experience in defining business requirements and ability to translate business language into standard documentation
  • Proven ability to define and effectively communicate work approach and plans to deliver project deliverables
  • Detail-oriented planner
  • Understand business drivers and solutions
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills and a demonstrated ability to understand and collaboratively solve business problems
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain productive business relationships with internal partners and external vendors
  • Strong communication skills
    • Risk identification and mitigation
  • Strong knowledge of data related technologies and processes
  • Strong agile project management skills
  • Management experience preferred
  • Strong skills/experience in creating/delivering presentations
  • Strong Excel, PowerPoint and Word capabilities
  • Self-starter, hard working attitude, excellent interpersonal skills
  • Life Insurance and Annuity experience preferred
  • Insurance process and performance knowledge preferred
  • Ability to effectively communicate strategic concepts to various levels of the organization. Demonstrated ability to communicate with Senior Leadership Team and decision makers in various area. Ability to identify problems and bring solutions for consideration to the team. Provide direct leadership without complete reporting control.
  • Ability to effectively manage diverse leaders among different departments to solve business issues and escalate when appropriate. Understand the impact decision made have on the wider organization and bring solution forward. Know the right resources to align to achieve success on projects.
  • Ability to think strategically for the long term
  • Identify key issues impacting projects and resolve timely
  • Escalate to the Product Owner and Product Management Team when appropriate
  • Ability to create and deliver senior level presentations
  • Ability to negotiate one on one with senior leaders and team members to resolve complex issues
