Role Overview:
 

Our Talent Acquisition team is looking for a driven and experienced full life cycle Recruiter with experience hiring in the financial services or insurance industry, from entry to officer level positions. Our Recruiters are valuable partners to our business, executing on recruiting strategies in support of our goal to attract top talent to the organization. As a Recruiter at New York Life, you will be responsible for managing the complete hiring process – from job intake to onboarding – partnering with hiring managers to attract and hire top-tier talent that aligns with our company’s values and goals.   

 

What You’ll Do:

 

  • Independently manage the full life cycle recruiting process to include direct sourcing, screening, and assessing candidates as well as developing and negotiating offers across a functional group; requisition loads typically range from 20-30 openings at a given time
  • Provide overall direction of the Recruiting Strategy for assigned clients, establishing guidelines and procedures concerning staffing best practices and process improvements
  • Advise hiring managers on all recruiting initiatives and keep them apprised of recruitment trends impacting the business
  • Craft job descriptions and assess candidates against competencies
  • Coach hiring managers and others involved in the recruitment process
  • Design and deliver customized recruitment strategies to include candidate pipelining, diversity, resource allocation, and search agency review
  • Partner with Diversity Strategy to ensure that diverse talent acquisition strategies are driven throughout the organization
  • Collaborate closely with HR Business Partner teams in delivering specific recruiting campaigns and reporting progress on a regular basis
  • Stay up to date on recruiting challenges and trends, labor laws, and legislative initiatives that have implications on the profitability of the business
  • Participate in talent review and workforce planning discussions with HR Business Partner and Recruiting Managers as appropriate
  • Partner with vendors to leverage outsourcing opportunities, monitor agency performance
  • Determine recruiting effectiveness though reporting and data analysis 

 

What You’ll Bring:

 

  • 5+ years of recruiting experience in financial services or insurance preferred
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Demonstrated success in a competitive talent market with strong focus on diversity and expertise in sourcing techniques in social media, direct recruiting, and other recruiting strategies
  • Attentive client and candidate service, includes providing weekly recruitment status and metrics to Recruiting Manager, HR Business Partners, and other key stakeholders
  • Highly experienced working with an ATS
  • Meticulous attention to detail, with strong multi-tasking and follow-through required
  • Solid consultation and negotiation skills, and superior oral and written communication skills are required with ability to communicate with all levels of internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Strong work ethic with demonstrated experience taking initiative, working well under pressure, and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

 

This position primarily involves a hybrid work schedule - working remotely: Monday & Friday / on site: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Pay Transparency

Salary Range:  $67,500-$95,000 

Overtime eligible: Exempt 

Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes 

Sales bonus eligible: No 

Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual’s experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
