A campaign operator who will leverage data insights to size opportunities and craft high performing client sales/retention programs. The right candidate will help define customer segments and use data to inform programmatic marketing investment decisions. The Database Marketing Senior Associate will thoroughly understand the structure of our customer data and will use it in the right way to accomplish campaign objectives.



  • Deploys highly targeted and effective marketing campaigns in close partnership with campaign managers using the campaign management platform (Adobe Campaign) and understanding data from multiple channels
  • In collaboration with campaign managers, partner with other departments such as Agency and Long Term Care product groups to build campaigns
  • Helps define audience segmentation criteria and coordinates targeting refinement with campaign managers and the marketing strategy team before execution
  • Sets clear expectations for campaign development timelines with internal stakeholders across the organization, including calling out any dependencies that could impact the schedule
  • Delivers accurate and on-time campaign data to vendors, New York Life Agents and other stakeholders in support of ongoing initiatives
  • When issues with campaign data arise, works with management to identify root causes and develop strategies to prevent recurrences.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills are required, specifically when relating complex data concepts to strategic business objectives
  • Will make daily decisions that will impact strategy, processes, and campaign dates


Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher (Marketing, Operations, Information Systems, or similar) required
  • 5-7+ years database marketing experience with success delivering complex multi-channel campaigns
  • Ability to prioritize projects and assignments, and allocate time efficiently
  • Advanced user in Excel, Access, and Query applications
  • Experience using marketing automation platforms like Adobe Marketing Cloud, Salesforce, or similar
  • Strong relational database experience; Proficiency in SQL preferred
  • Strong quantitative, strategic, and data visualization skills required
  • Experience in the Financial Services industry is a plus
