This position primarily involves a hybrid work schedule - working remotely: Monday & Friday / on site: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

 

This position supports the development and execution of direct to consumer marketing efforts that support AARP/NYL's Long Term Care Options, GMAD/AMA and GMAD/AICPA Programs.  This position requires navigating and building relationships with a wide variety of cross-organizational partners, excellent written and verbal communication skills, experience in creating impactful and effective powerpoint decks, and comprehensive understanding of marketing plans, performance and the distribution environments.

 

Develop annual lead, sales, expenses and financial marketing plans for AARP/NYL LTC Options, GMAD/AMA and GMAD/AICPA.
Create internal and external communications on Program status, performance, and initiatives to share across support staff, key stakeholders and/or business partners.
Manages expense reporting with the assistance from internal staff.  Leads discussions with marketing channels regarding spend variances.Coordinates and manages timelines, deliverables and Program metrics with internal marketing channel partners.  Conducts analysis to understand trends, variances, etc.  Contributes to strategic creative development such as marketing messaging/themes.
Oversee market and industry competitive research to assist in developing business strategy.
Facilitates bi-annual strategy sessions for all Programs.  

 

Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing/Communications, Finance, Economics, Analytics preferred
  • 5+ years' consumer marketing experience preferred
  • Knowledge in MS Excel, relational databases, and PowerPoint are required
  • Analytic, goal-oriented marketer able to translate desired business outcomes into actionable marketing plans
  • Strong financial acumen with the ability to understand concepts such as LTV, MVA, and other profitability metrics
  • Skilled relationship manager able to effectively navigate complex operating models
  • Direct response marketing experience required
  • Insurance product, positioning and distribution knowledge
  • Industry, channel and competitor trends knowledge 
  • Insurance process and performance knowledge
  • Financial modeling and valuation skills
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to effectively establish and facilitate cross-functional teams
  • Ability to engage with team members across a variety of skill sets and levels within the organization
  • Self-starter - able to take topics in various states of clarity (some new ideas, some established ideas) and determine how to evaluate, advance and implement them
  • Able to evaluate and prioritize strategic opportunities for the business
  • Able to understand plan/forecast inputs and how they impact/reconcile with the execution of recommended strategies
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Must have ability to communicate to all levels of the organization
  • Able to create different levels of PowerPoint presentations to share across key stakeholders and business partners

Salary range: $82,500-$122,500 

Overtime eligible: Exempt 

Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes
