The incumbent will develop marketing strategy across customer programs.  This includes independently identifying and implementing opportunities for new campaigns and tests.  The work consists of managing campaigns schedules, documenting requirements and test plans, communicating to help cross-functional execution, analyzing campaign performance, recommending tests to continually improve performance, and communicating program performance and trends to senior staff.  The position will oversee a number of marketing programs across media types. 

 

  • Develop campaigns and test plans to grow customer sales across the larger and more complex sales segments.
  • Manage ongoing campaigns to achieve sales targets, including documenting and maintaining mail plans, assessing results, communication with partner teams, and troubleshooting. 
  • Lead test execution across teams to implement and review creative, offer, and timing tests.
  • Forecast circulation, application rates, acceptance rates, issues premium, paid premium, and costs across campaigns. 
  • Analyze performance across sales metrics, capture test results, and provide recommendations for retests and rollout strategies.
  • Lead product implementation for Customer Marketing – Strategy and participate in product development efforts.  
  • Lead marketing and analytic research projects to develop new opportunities or make existing campaigns more effective throughout the operation.

 

Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or other Business preferred
  • 5+ years’ relevant experience required
  • Analytic skills required
  • Proficiency with Excel and Database (such as Access) required
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to think strategically
  • Ability to develop a strategic marketing plan, manage deliverables to achieve key project dates, develop sales estimates, and explain resulting variances against those expectations.  Understand statistical significance in test results and rollout decisions
  • Ability to partner with Creative, Execution, and Marketing services teams to improve business outcomes.  React to sales trends to optimize performance and deliver on sales goals through test and learn philosophy.  Stay in tune to consumer and competitive insights as well as acquisition channel work that can influence customer marketing
  • Ability to lead projects or play other key roles in ideas to expand channel sales, including new products, audiences, and ideas to optimize revenue from existing customers. Keep senior staff abreast of opportunities and create compelling business cases to justify investment
  • Ability to apply critical thinking to question results and solve complex issues.  Leverage data to analyze and to uncover opportunities.  Challenge the status quo to enhance value.  Use analytical findings to drive key initiations and new innovative projects
  • Ability to make complex decisions in managing campaigns and customer segments.  Recommend course of action to Customer Marketing leadership, when appropriate, and cross-functional partners
  • Ability to leverage resources to communicate Customer Marketing approaches, audiences, and segments.  Present plans and results to senior leadership.  Present complex issues in ways that are easy to understand.
