Direct mail is the major channel of NYL Marketing which has consistently proven to deliver successful results. As a Senior Marketing Strategy Associate, you will apply your campaign execution and strategy, quantitative, database, analytical and business judgment skills to drive major Direct Marketing innovations that ultimately impact the company bottom line. This is a unique opportunity to be a part of a small team doing big things. 

 

  • Manage data driven execution of Member Direct Mail campaigns throughout all stages: create and communicate Mail Plans, develop List Pull and Data Processing instructions to Acxiom, query the database, audit and sign off on final counts, source code the Mail File, etc.                                                                                                                                           
  • Partner with Sr. Leadership to drive streamlined execution solutions (such as Cycle Time Reduction, Source Code Optimization, Digital Print Personalization) that improve the channel's ability to operate efficiently and innovate continuously.  
  • Use critical thinking and analytics to drive post-campaign evaluations. Develop and present recommendations on performance trends and Test & Learn results.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              
  • Collaborate closely with internal (Compliance, Production, Creative, Product Strategy, Actuarial) and external (Acxiom, Merkle, Print vendors) partners to ensure high execution quality.

 

Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in quantitative field preferred
  • 3+ years related experience
  • Microsoft Office Suite and database/query applications knowledge
  • High level of expertise in data driven marketing campaign execution and performance monitoring
  • Strong quantitative skills and high attention to details
  • Ability to think strategically and use critical thinking to exercise judgement and present solutions
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Motivated professional with a passion for numbers and high degree of intellectual curiosity
