Corporate Vice President, Agency Recruiting & Retention

Location Designation: Hybrid - 3 days per week

Role Overview:

Support the design, development and implementation of strategic initiatives focused on reimagining the recruiting and onboarding experience that not only exceeds user expectations, but also aligns with Field Operations Value Stream objectives and seamlessly integrates with Field Productivity value stream-driven strategies aimed at accelerating early advisor productivity.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced professional with an analytical thought process, instinctive problem-solving skills, strong communication and influencing capabilities, and a passion for developing best in class user experiences (UX).

 

What You'll Do:

Overall

  • Develop high level product requirements and activation roadmap that supports the prioritization of features and enhancements based on business value, customer feedback and market trends.
  • Influence upfront thinking of new initiatives, including framing complex problems, assessing current state, designing target state solutions, and developing actionable recommendations.
  • Create a multi-year product strategy/vision – inclusive of concepts & differentiated approach to optimize the experience.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure alignment and successful project delivery.
  • Elicit and document detailed product requirements from stakeholders, ensuring clarity and comprehensiveness.
  • Utilize the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) for deploying new initiatives and continuous release trains.
  • Advocate for the end-user, ensuring solutions are user-friendly, reliable and provide a positive candidate experience.
  • Define objectives and key results (OKRs) that ladder up to the Value Stream OKRs to measure success and impact of enhancements.
  • Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure project success and continuity.

 

Product Experience Design Strategy and Roadmap Development

  • Continuously monitor the competitive landscape and industry trends to inform product experience strategies and identify opportunities for product innovation, differentiation, and optimizations
  • Collaborate with market insights and UX/UI teams to conduct comprehensive market/customer and agent research and data analysis to gain insights into user needs, journeys, and pain points
  • Develop and communicate a clear and compelling strategies for a portfolio of products that align company goals, market trends, customer needs, and agent needs; partner with key stakeholders (such as Planning Leads and Product Owners) to design comprehensive roadmaps which consider all important dependencies and trade-offs
  • Communicate roadmap and key program enhancements with stakeholders across the organization and continuously align stakeholders to a unified view of enhancements
  • Develop and manage business cases to support periodic investments, and collaborate with key partners to set product growth goals, objectives, and KPIs
  • Develop strategic approach, projects, and timelines that align to key business initiatives

 

Operations

  • Partner with key stakeholders to define, drive, and participate in the product management lifecycle from concept to release, including methodologies, best practices, key processes, and workflows for marketing digital experiences across the portfolio in partnership with product owners and enablement partners in a scaled agile environment
  • Develop, maintain, and continuously prioritize product feature backlogs in collaboration with product owners
  • Partner with product owners to develop and maintain thorough product, business, functional, compliance, and data requirements 
  • Consult on new platforms requirements to deliver product experiences
  • As needed, provide feedback on user stories / acceptance criteria and participate in product QA / UAT activities
  • Establish, maintain, and report on product risks assessments and execute mitigation strategies in conjunction with business, technical, and enablement partners
  • Manage key stakeholders across the business to ensure ongoing alignment, balance tradeoffs in prioritizations, and ensure delivery of objectives
  • Deliver presentations and communications for leadership across the organization on key product enhancements
  • Work with a cross-functional team to create digital experiences and ongoing product enhancements
  • Manage a small cross-functional team of product managers and contractors as needed

 

Analytics and Measurement

  • Partner with analytic partners to define and develop measurement strategies and plan to deliver on business KPIs with additional product level KPIs and health measures and set up regular reporting to monitor and adjust as necessary
  • Work with analytic partners to identify key insights in product usage, operations/engagement data, and other data to inform strategy, align roadmaps, and support any enhancements 
  • Collaborate with internal / external teams to develop, conduct, and analyze online tests (e.g., AB/Multivariate, usability) to identify future enhancement opportunities

    • Assist in managing governance and communication processes to ensure transparency and accountability

 

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; certification in product management or operational excellence is a plus
  • Experience in financial services and/or insurance industry preferred
  • Familiarity with SAFe and project management methodologies and tools
  • Strong communication skills including experience in developing “C” level presentations
  • Collaborative work style and executive presence with ability to effectively interact and earn trust of peers and senior leadership
  • Outstanding analytic and quantitative capabilities
  • Large and small group facilitation skills and experience
  • Self-starter with a passion to deliver results

Pay Transparency

Salary Range:  $160,000-$200,000 

Overtime eligible: Exempt 

Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes 

Sales bonus eligible: No 

 

Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual’s experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
