Agency Communications provides communications strategy, publications management, digital, editorial, and leadership communications direction and support for New York Life’s field force which is comprised of 12,000 agents and 600 managers across the country. The Digital Campaign Strategist will be responsible for ensuring all messages are aligned with our strategy and are designed to achieve intended results.  

 

The Digital Campaign Strategist reports directly to the Senior Vice President of Agency Communications and is responsible for creating and executing digital campaign strategies incorporating appropriate digital assets (email, intranet, social, multimedia etc.) in support of achieving business objectives through our field force.  Strategies will include targeting recommended audiences, mainly internal-customer (B to B) field audiences, comprised of field managers and producers.

 

The digital leader will be an independent center of excellence working in concert with our Internal Communication, Editorial and Digital teams to create, execute and measure digital strategies/campaigns.

 

Role Overview

      •  
  • Develop and lead Agency’s digital communications strategy by incorporating best practices to increase reach and engagement to key audiences.
  • Responsible for creating new initiatives that drive growth and innovation and expand our digital capabilities.
  • Implement campaign best practices utilizing our digital toolset and transfer knowledge to the communication planners who work with business units to develop comprehensive campaigns.
  • Establish a center of excellence for effective utilization of our digital toolset.   Evangelize and educate business units on digital campaign strategies, measurement and tactics to drive standards and uniformity of brand, measurement etc.
  • Design digital campaigns to 1) create awareness for opportunities in pursuit of business objectives 2) drive engagement with targeted audiences and 3) provide appropriate calls to action.
  • Provide insight and analytics on measurement-based campaigns.
  • Conceptualize and direct change management initiatives for the Agency Communications department.

 
Qualifications
 

  • Must have hands-on experience in, and a track record of success with winning social digital campaigns (i.e., Adobe, Salesforce, etc.)
  • Must have 7-10 years' experience in Marketing, IT and / or Communications
  • Minimum 7 years interactive and digital web experience
  • Experience with cutting edge knowledge of existing and new technology
  • Proven results working as a team player/collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Explore additional digital channels (Facebook, Twitter, podcast, texting, notifications)
  • Experience managing and leading a team preferred but not necessary
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and organizational skills
  • Able to thrive and lead in a corporate and entrepreneurial environment
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and multi-task
  • Creative problem solving and a "can do" attitude are a must
  • In-depth knowledge of and passion for all forms of media
  • Position in located in White Plains, NY but flexibility for occasional work in NYC is required
