New York Life’s primary distribution channel is the career Agency sales force of more than 12,000 agents, operating in virtually every major city in the United States.  Every agent is affiliated with one of our 117 General Offices. These offices are operated by Agency management teams responsible for agent and management recruiting, development, and sales.  Approximately half our agents operate their businesses out of our General Offices, while the other half maintains independent office locations. 


Our General Offices are divided up among four Zones. In addition to our Zone offices, an Agency Home Office team responsible for strategy, finance, administration, standards, training, marketing and communications supports our agents and field managers.  The Agency operation also comprises teams charged with growing our business in key market segments, including the middle-income market, the advanced (high-net-worth) market, select cultural markets, and the women’s markets. Agents sell individual life insurance, individual annuities, and long-term care insurance products, as well as mutual funds.



The Latino Market National Strategies Manager will work with the Latino Market Manager, Latino Market field team and field management to implement our national strategies. He or she will primarily be responsible for the coordination and implementation of:


  • Recruiting programs and liaison with the recruiting team
    • Coordinate market conference calls and video releases
    • Work with the recruiting team on materials and campaigns targeting Latino professionals
    • Reach out to candidates regionally to discuss the agent career opportunity and support in the Latino community
    • Manage new hire welcome campaigns


  • Manage retention programs and liaison with the retention team


  • Life FYC & Case Rate strategies and liaison to Sales team
    • Organize follow up and support to study groups
    • Coordinate Advanced Planning webinars and training sessions
    • Implement and drive Registered Rep campaigns


  • Latino Leadership Program
    • Coordinate Management Opportunity and Latino Managers support programs


  • Community outreach programs
    • Work closely with Latino organizations


  • Social Media strategy
    • Manage social media for Agent Campaigns
    • Manage market specific Social Media content


  • Marketing Department liaison
    • Oversee materials translations, video productions, social media
    • Coordinate and oversee National Sales campaigns
    • Manage and coordinate the Latino Market Portal page
    • Create new campaign for Latino Market key turn events


  • National reports
    • Update recruiting report
    • Recruiting status form
    • Retention projections
    • Activity calendar



  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent business experience, Life and Health license a plus
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of relevant experience (Marketing Campaign and Program Management, Sales and Sales Management, Event Planning, Project Management)
  • Highly motivated, entrepreneurial individual with proven self-starter skills
  • Experience in developing community relationships in the Latino Market and implementing events as well as driving community participation at corporate events and seminars
  • Strong leader who can create relationships with individuals at all levels
  • Ability to learn and memorize scripts and explain complicated concepts
  • Proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Ability to navigate complicated programs and systems
  • Strong communication (verbal, written and presentation), problem-solving and organizational skills
