Role Overview:

  • Work with market manager to form a holistic business plan and carry out market strategic initiatives deliver quantitative results on time, which will be measured by the growth in sales, recruiting, retention and manpower periodically
  • Conducting timely situational analysis on designated territories, target general offices and focused producers, identify the unique needs for specific marketing support, be able to address and resolve situations in the field
  • Drive recruiting by proactively working with local recruiters, efficiently leverage both cold and warm marketing support resources, such as digital marketing (leads-gen programs: LinkedIn, Indeed, Zip Recruiters) and event marketing (recruiting workshop, career fairs) etc.
  • Drive sales by joint work with specialists, consultants and marketing team to launch sales campaigns, orchestrate structured agent training workshops and client seminars; be able to conduct and or coordinate these activities
  • Cultivate and solidify relationships with Chinese communities, local business and professional organizations to bridge them to our local general offices; purposefully maintain a sustainable community presence
  • Personify Cultural market’s value proposition by carrying out field operation activities, such as recruiting, sales workshops and community sponsorship events. Also assist market manager to organize national and regional conference, sales campaign and field communication
  • Work with local office management teams to develop and implement recruiting, case rate and marketing strategies to reach the goals and objectives of the Chinese Market Unit
  • Actively generate candidate and prospect name flow in target areas, engage CI’s, and manage candidate pipeline and projections for assigned offices
  • Develop and manage relationships with the Chinese business, professional, and community-based organizations, particularly those focused on career development and sales
  • Work with Zone and Home Office management to identify internal and external market management candidates
  • Travel to General Offices and sponsored events to support the manpower and case rate strategies
  • Compile, manage, and maintain market recruiting, retention, case rate and recurring premium data; and generate daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree
  • Minimum of 4+ years relevant experience
  • Life Insurance license preferred
  • Proven experience in recruiting, sales and marketing in the insurance industry, preferably within the NYL Agency system
  • Strong understanding of life insurance industry and products
  • Strong understanding of career Agency recruiting and Agent development process preferably within the NYL system
  • Proven ability to gather, interpret, and present sales, production, and recruiting data and measures
  • Must have an in-depth understanding of the Chinese American community, professional, and business environment
  • Experience in developing community relationships and sales/recruiting opportunities
  • Strong organizational skills, must be able to work with minimal supervision
  • Strong business planning, tactical, communication, and people skills
  • Must be fluent in both English and Chinese, written and colloquial
  • Up to 50% of Travel
