New York Life’s primary distribution channel is the career Agency sales force of more than 12,000 agents, operating in virtually every major city in the United States.  Every agent is affiliated with one of our 117 General Offices. These offices are operated by Agency management teams responsible for agent and management recruiting, development, and sales.  Approximately half our agents operate their businesses out of our General Offices, while the other half maintains independent office locations. 


Our General Offices are divided up among four Zones. In addition to our Zone offices, an Agency Home Office team responsible for strategy, finance, administration, standards, training, marketing and communications supports our agents and field managers.  The Agency operation also comprises teams charged with growing our business in key market segments, including the middle-income market, the advanced (high-net-worth) market, select cultural markets, and the women’s markets. Agents sell individual life insurance, individual annuities, and long-term care insurance products, as well as mutual funds.

General Profile: 

Our team’s focus is to support New York Life’s field managers with the tools to recruit successful financial advisors/agents. This role requires an appreciation for the impact our financial advisors and agents have in local communities, and a sense of urgency that accompanies supporting a results-driven, sales organization.


In this role, you will be responsible for providing tactical support to drive short-term (quarterly/annual) company recruiting and sales goals that align with the long-term, strategic direction of the organization.  The ideal candidate will be skilled at prioritizing, developing processes, multi-tasking and meeting tight deadlines.



  • Support planning and execution of Quarterly Strategies including training webinars, virtual events and incentive-based activity blitzes
  • Manage coordination of deliverables for Top 10 Focus Office program
  • Develop content management process to ensure consistent, robust library of approved content is available for recruiter use
  • Build library of market specific Recruiter Activity Guides and coordinate with Field Leadership and Development Team to create relevant training resources
  • Coordinate communication plans for recruiting campaigns and quarterly strategies
  • Optimization and management of LinkedIn relationship
  • Support team’s effort in testing new vendor relationships and lead distribution efforts, as needed


Qualifications and Key Attributes

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
  • Solutions focused with a problem solving approach to challenges
  • Organized with a skill in creating turnkey processes
  • Develop relationships and collaborate with cross-functional teams to get things done
  • Adjust to shifting priorities
  • Resourceful with the ability to find the answer with limited direction
  • Customer service orientated
  • Experience working within the Life Insurance / Financial Service industry preferred
