• Develop financial models and analyses of company and fund metrics to underwrite investment recommendations
• Author executive-level investment proposals and portfolio materials, and present recommendations to senior leadership and the investment committee
• Partner with the startup partnership team and NYL business unit stakeholders to identify and unlock strategic opportunities across the portfolio
• Lead thematic research that shapes the team’s investment focus areas and strategic priorities, and develop a point of view on emerging trends
What You'll Bring:

• 5-7+ years’ experience in PE/VC or a related field (e.g., fund-of-funds, corporate development, buy- or sell-side investment research, fund-of-funds, strategy consulting, investment banking, business or strategy at a technology company, etc.)
• Demonstrated or developing subject-matter expertise in one or more focus areas relevant to NYL Ventures (e.g., fintech, insurtech, AI/ML, enterprise software, data infrastructure, or cybersecurity), with a willingness to build and defend a differentiated point of view and become a recognized internal expert in that domain
• A strong inner-drive to learn new things and create new value in a collaborative team environment
