This position primarily involves a hybrid work schedule - working remotely: Monday & Friday / on site: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
Role Overview:
This position is responsible for the timely application of deposit records that are received into the various receivable system platforms for New York Life Group Benefit Solutions without being fully applied to client invoices. Research any partially applied payments and those with unacceptable variances within departmental metrics. Applicant must demonstrate proficiencies in consistently managing workload, maintaining minimum productivity levels, and executing the application in timely and accurately.
What You’ll Do:
• Application of unidentified deposits
• Application of unapplied (fully or partial) deposits
• Meets or exceeds all timeliness, productivity and quality standards established for the position.
• Researches information as needed from various resources in resolution of issues or anomalies
• Resolves partially applied payments and unacceptable variances within departmental metrics
• Identifies potential problem areas needing further exploration and communicates such matters to their Manager
• Utilizes effective communication, courtesy and professionalism in all interactions, both internally and externally
• Maintains data within internal applications and or tracking tools
• Supports training initiatives or quality initiatives, as assigned.
• Participates in the QA, UAT and pilot testing for all system releases
• Supports established quality assurance standards
• Demonstrates sensitivity to culturally diverse situations, clients and customers.
What you'll bring:
• College Degree in Business or Accounting and/or equivalent work experience
• Basic understanding of Life, Accident and Disability products and functional processes and supporting systems
• Strong Verbal/Written Communication skills
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and results oriented
• Ability to work within strict time constraints
• Ability to adapt within a fast-paced environment and to changing scope
• Multi-task oriented
• Ability to work independently with multiple systems
• Excellent customer service skills
• Basic math skills required
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite(Excel, Word, Outlook, Access)

Pay Transparency
Salary range: $45,000-$75,000
Overtime eligible: Nonexempt
Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes
Sales bonus eligible: No
Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual’s experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
