Associate - Unqork Developer

 

Location Designation: Hybrid - 3 days per week

Role Overview:
As an Producer Management Developer Engineer, you will be in charge of developing, configuring, customizing, and deploying applications on the Unqork and AWS platforms to meet complex business requirements. You’ll collaborate with cross-tech teams and business teams to drive the successful delivery of business solutions.  This role demands strong technical expertise, programming, and problem-solving skills.

What You’ll Do:
• Build solutions on the Unqork SaaS platform as part of a larger Producer Management development team.
• Build cloud solutions on the AWS platform as part of the same Producer Management ecosystem.
• Work with team engineer leads, architects, and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into technology solutions.
• Ensure applications and components are optimized for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Develop reusable components and modules on the Unqork Platform.
• Perform rigorous unit testing and debugging to deliver robust and defect-free solutions.
• Develop into an internal application SME for the technical systems you support in your value stream: acting as technical point for capabilities that your technology has enabled.
• Develop integrations between the Unqork platform, AWS platform, and all the necessary data, solutions, and services endpoints needed.
• Partner with the Scrum Master and Product Owner to refine and analyze the backlog and drive the technical delivery of features and user stories into working software (and specifications).
• Stay current with the latest technology including but not limited to Unqork, AWS, database, and AI technologies.

• Actively participates in daily standup calls, sprint planning and Program Increment (PI) planning sessions.
• Actively collaborates with and aligns with information, data, security and infrastructure strategies.
• Partners with Business stakeholders and to review and understand business requirements.
• Conducts complete assessments of complex business problems, including those involving multiple systems, customers, platforms, and technologies.
• Proposes technology solutions within areas of the team’s development.
• Stays current on NYL architectural standards.
• Identifies and suggests technical, architectural and design improvements in current systems.
• Supports the project through the entire software development lifecycle from initial kickoff to production deployment.

You will bring your strong technical skillset, analytical mind, and problem-solving skills to help your team solve complex business challenges.  You will also bring a hunger for continuous learning of new technologies, methodologies, and ways to solve business problems.  You will use your ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines.  Finally, utilize your excellent communication and team collaboration skills to work closely with teammates and cross-functional teams to drive technical outcomes.  You will ALWAYS be an active driver in the reimagining of technical and business processes using evolving AI toolsets.

Required Skills:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
• 0-4 years professional experience as a developer / programmer / software engineer.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; Can work independently to solve complex technical issues, unit test, and debug.
• Strong SQL skills, including query optimization, performance tuning, and report development.

 

Pay Transparency

Salary Range: $81,000-$115,500 

Overtime eligible: Exempt 

Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes 

Sales bonus eligible: No 

Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual’s experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
