Senior Associate, Product Analyst
Location Designation: Hybrid - 3 days per week
We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Product Analyst to join the Product Management Group at New York Life Investments (NYLIM). Based in our New York City headquarters, you will help drive the positioning, growth, and retention of our mutual funds, ETFs, and SMA products across retail and intermediary distribution channels.
As a Product Analyst, you will collaborate closely with product managers and cross-functional teams to support a wide range of investment, marketing, and sales initiatives. This role offers exposure to investment strategy, product positioning, and data-driven decision making.
What You'll Do:
- Market Intelligence and Competitive Analysis:
- Contribute to all aspects of product management across the retail product line, with an emphasis on positioning and differentiating our offerings relative to leading peers.
- Conduct and deliver insightful market and peer analysis to support marketing and sales efforts.
- Product Strategy and Support:
- Partner with product managers to develop and execute product strategies across the retail product suite.
- Collaborate with product managers to produce timely product updates, including performance analysis, commentary, and positioning narratives.
- Conduct ad-hoc data analysis to support business development initiatives and strategic projects.
- Sales Enablement and Communications:
- Respond to product-related inquiries from internal and external stakeholders, including sales teams and business partners.
- Collaborate with Marketing to develop, enhance, and maintain compelling product materials, presentations, and client-facing content.
- Analytics and Reporting:
- Leverage data platforms (e.g., Bloomberg, Morningstar, FactSet) to generate product-level analytics.
- Develop and maintain reports tracking investment performance, fund flows, and competitive positioning.
What You'll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent business experience required; MBA, and/or industry designations (CFA®, CFP®, CIMA®) a plus.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the financial services industry.
- Strong understanding of financial markets and investment vehicles, including equities, fixed income, and alternatives.
- Proven analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deliver high-quality work under tight deadline.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and data platforms like Bloomberg, Morningstar, FactSet, etc.

Pay Transparency
Salary Range: $100,000-$130,000
Overtime eligible: Exempt
Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes
Sales bonus eligible: No
Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual’s experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
