Senior Associate - State Tax Transformation
Location Designation: Hybrid - 3 days per week
Senior Tax Associate – State Tax Transformation (Hybrid)
What You'll Do:
• Lead tax transformation initiatives by leveraging automation, AI, and data analytics to streamline tax processes, improve efficiency, and enhance data quality across the Tax function.
• Analyze and manage large, complex data sets, e.g., supporting Sales & Use Tax compliance, Informational Reporting, including Forms 1099, W-2, and other federal and state reporting requirements.
• Review transactions, determine appropriate Tax treatment, resolve tax issues with internal stakeholders and external vendors, and administer tax technology solutions to improve reporting accuracy and compliance.
• Partner with Finance, Procurement, IT, and business stakeholders to optimize tax data, automate workflows, and implement scalable process improvements.
• Support Tax audits by preparing analyses, maintaining audit-ready documentation, responding to auditor requests, resolving audit findings, and strengthening tax processes and internal controls based on audit outcomes.

What You'll Bring:
Education
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related discipline required.
• CPA, MST, or other relevant professional certifications are a plus
Experience
3–5 years of State & Local Tax (SALT) experience: Proficiency in any one or more of these State Tax areas is a plus: Premium, Income, Withholding, Unemployment, Informational Reporting, Sales & Use, Personal Property Taxes.
• Demonstrated success implementing tax automation, AI, or technology-driven process improvements that increased efficiency, improved accuracy, and reduced manual effort.
• Proven ability to analyze, manipulate, and transform large data sets into meaningful tax and business insights for compliance, reporting, and business decision-making.
• Experience supporting Tax audits.
• Candidates should have experience operating within a mature corporate tax function supporting high transaction volumes, multiple legal entities, and complex compliance requirements.

Required Technical Skills
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Power Query, Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP, Power Pivot, and advanced data analysis techniques.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft 365, including Excel, SharePoint, Power Platform, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Demonstrated experience leveraging tax automation, AI, Bots, Claude and analytics tools to improve tax operations, streamline processes, and enhance reporting.

Pay Transparency
Salary Range: $81,000-$105,000
Overtime eligible: Exempt
Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes
Sales bonus eligible: No
Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual’s experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
