Analytics Product Manager
Location Designation: Hybrid - 3 days per quarter

The Agency Insights and Analytics Team is seeking a talented, high-energy individual with a unique blend of technical and analytical skills, industry knowledge, and deep cross-team collaboration experience. This individual will work closely with the team lead to develop a data and business intelligence strategy for the team, while also managing these assets as “analytics products”- this includes documentation and oversight of our digital assets, intake and requirements gathering for new analytics efforts, solution design and integration of new capabilities into the existing product suite, and ongoing management and prioritization of the product backlog. This individual would also be expected to develop new data and BI assets, as well as utilize existing products to derive actionable insights and distill them into sleek, C-suite-ready presentations.
What you’ll do:
• Product Management
o Develop and continually monitor an integrated workflow management process for team periodic and ad hoc reports, analyses, and special projects
o Maintain and prioritize a backlog of team initiatives
o Own the intake, triage, development, dissemination, and communication for all team ad hoc analysis projects
o Oversee all team periodic and ad hoc development and analytics activities and maintain accountability for their satisfactory and timely completion
o Design and maintain a standard set of artifacts at the team level, including a team manifesto, process documentation, data model/architecture documentation, etc.
o Design and maintain a standard set of artifacts at the project and process level, including project charters, BRDs, process flows, etc.
• Data and Technology Strategy
o Evaluate and document the team’s current data/analytics platform, toolset, data flows, etc. and
o Partner with Team Lead to design a future state vision and roadmap, ensuring alignment with enterprise best practices and cutting-edge tooling
o Lead cross-functional teams to execute on data and analytics vision
o Continually monitor emerging enterprise and industry digital capabilities and provide strategic recommendations
o Proactively reassess team procedures and identify improvement opportunities
• Analytics support
o Solicit and document requirements for reporting, analysis, and BI projects and partner closely with Team Lead on solution design
o Integrate and interpret data from multiple sources to provide actionable insights
o Develop materials to communicate insights through impactful visualizations and provide predictive and actionable recommendations
o Establish performance targets and monitor results for various Agency incentives, campaigns, and other strategic implementations
• Business Partnership
o Partner broadly across FB, Agency, and Finance to understand and document Sales and Agency Building Metric analytics current state and future needs
o Collaborate with technology and AI&D teams on various enterprise initiatives around report centralization, data modernization, and AI integration
o Act as SME for Agency Sales and Building Metrics data on enterprise and value stream data and tech projects
o Partner with other analytics teams to identify synergies and share best practices
What you’ll bring
• Bachelor’s degree preferred and 3+ years of industry experience as a data, functional, or business analyst
• 2+ experience in SQL, R, Python, or other related coding language
• 2+ years working on data and/or analytics projects with experience in requirements gathering, development, testing, and delivery
• Experience working in JIRA, Monday, Confluence or related workflow management, project management, and collaboration products
• Knowledge of the Life Insurance, Annuity, and/or Wealth Management space
• Experience developing in Tableau and working with AWS products
• Knowledge of NYL business and data is a plus
Pay Transparency
Salary Range: $85,000-$145,000
Overtime eligible: Exempt
Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes
Sales bonus eligible: No
Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual’s experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
