Role Overview:
As an Associate – Developer Engineer, your primary responsibilities will be to help build new features and support existing functionality for the Digital Health Data project. You will be part of an Agile team, being asked to participate in the scrum ceremonies, analyze and contribute to the system design, and build new functionality to deliver key business features. To do this successfully, you should be able to create and follow technical requirements to develop functionality in Mulesoft and Python. Collaborating with both business and technical stakeholders is key for this role to understand requirements and provide input on solutions.
What You’ll Do:
As a member of the Digital Health Data team, your primary focus will be to analyze and build solutions in Mulesoft and Python to deliver key business features related to our Acquistion and Normalization efforts. In addition:
- You will work closely with QA team members to identify test scenarios and ensure functionality is working as expected.
- Monitor the production application to identify fallout and provide root cause analysis
- Participate in meetings with the business team to understand and groom requirements
What You’ll Bring:
- You will bring a strong programming background in both Mulesoft and Python and will need to be comfortable being able to translate technical requirements and designs into working software. You need to be able to participate in design sessions and contribute to the design of the overall solution. Beyond your technical skillset, you can effectively communicate with various stakeholders. Lacking individual skill sets can be overcome by having the ability to quickly learn and retain new concepts.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency developing solutions in Mulesoft and Python
- Experience with Database technologies such as MYSQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, etc.
- Ability to integrate APIs, write unit test cases, perform Unit Testing (UT) and System Integration testing (SIT)
- Solid understanding of Agile application development methodologies and release management activities.
- Contribute to the team’s ability to make and deliver on their commitments.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Preferred Skills:
- Solid or in-depth understanding of the insurance industry
- Ability to learn trending technologies and apply them to business solutions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Detail oriented individual with strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to be self-directed, a good team player and the capacity for effective time management.
- Ability to clearly communicate to both technical and business teams.
Pay Transparency
Salary Range: $65,000-$110,000
Overtime eligible: Exempt
Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes
Sales bonus eligible: No
Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual’s experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
