Associate - Technology Analyst

Role Overview:
We are currently seeking a Salesforce DevOps Associate to join our Field Productivity value stream. The value stream is one of 6 within the New York Life’s Foundational Business and consists of 40 plus applications with a portfolio size of $50M.
In this entry-level role, you will play a crucial part in supporting our Salesforce development and operations processes. Your responsibilities will include assisting with the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of Salesforce environments across multiple value streams, as well as contributing to the continuous improvement of our DevOps practices.
What You’ll Do:
• Technical Delivery and Deployments: Participate in the technical delivery and deployment of custom development and data migration elements of Salesforce implementations, ensuring they meet project requirements and are executed effectively.
• Sandbox and Configuration Management: Help manage the creation, configuration, and maintenance of Salesforce environments (sandboxes), ensuring they are aligned with development and testing needs as well as tracking configuration changes.
• Automation Support: Assist in implementing and maintaining automation processes for deployments and integrations.
• Troubleshooting: Provide support in identifying and resolving issues related to Salesforce applications and integrations.
• Documentation: Contribute to documentation of processes, configurations, and deployment procedures.
• Collaboration: Work with senior team members, developers, and administrators to ensure smooth operation of Salesforce applications.
• Release Management Participation: Participate in release management/technical sessions to design technical solutions that are aligned with the organization’s continuation integration process.
• On-Call Support: Participate in on-call operational and deployment/release support for supported systems, including troubleshooting and resolving issues as they arise.
• Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance software quality, infrastructure reliability, and system resilience. Contribute ideas and implement practices that drive operational excellence.
• Retrospectives Participation: Actively participate in retrospective(s) with the peer group to foster a culture of continuous improvement and learning.
• Learning and Development: Stay up to date with Salesforce features and best practices and participate in training opportunities to enhance your skills.
What You’ll Bring:
• Education: bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Experience: 0-1 year of experience in Salesforce administration, development, or related roles. Internship or project experience in Salesforce DevOps is a plus.
• Technical Skills: Solid understanding of configuration management tools such as Jenkins, Git, and Terraform. Basic understanding of Salesforce, including familiarity with Salesforce DX and version control systems.
• Problem-Solving: Good analytical and troubleshooting skills with a willingness to learn and adapt.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in tasks and documentation.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Salesforce Certification: Salesforce Administrator or Salesforce Platform App Builder certification is a plus but not required.
• Experience with DevOps Tools: Exposure to tools such as Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines, or similar is beneficial.
• Knowledge of Agile: Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like JIRA is an advantage.

Pay Transparency
Salary Range: $62,400-$102,500
Overtime eligible: Exempt
Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes
Sales bonus eligible: No
Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual’s experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
