Duties: Frames and analyzes complex problems and evaluates areas of opportunity related to mergers and acquisitions (M&A), growth strategy, operating model transformation, and digital product development across key business lines of life insurance, retirement, wealth management, and investment management. Assesses key market trends and areas of relative competitive strength by conducting discovery interviews, focus groups, secondary research and leveraging proprietary industry databases. Prioritizes and assesses feasibility/impact of solutions on organizational models, business architecture, technical architecture, and business processes by creating technical specifications, implementation roadmaps, and process flows. Works closely with business leadership to lead execution and support oversight of large and complex programs across the enterprise. Synthesizes quantitative analyses and qualitative insights and presents key recommendations to senior leadership. Supports the strategic planning processes, including the interdependencies between key business, technology, and financial planning processes. Supports agenda and materials development for senior executive audiences and meetings and plays a key role in informing and influencing senior management decision-making. Provide thought leadership and subject matter expertise in relevant areas, including digital transformation, risk, wealth/investment management.

 

Education & Experience Requirements: 


Master's degree in Business Administration, Economics (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus three (3) years of experience advising on and executing enterprise-wide business and technology strategies, programs, and projects within the financial services industry.


Or, alternatively:


Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus five (5) years of experience advising on and executing enterprise-wide business and technology strategies, programs, and projects within the financial services industry.


Required Skills: 


Experience must include 3 years in each of the following skills:


1)    Working with business leaders to identify and evaluate new areas of opportunity, including developing business cases and market scans leveraging a robust understanding of products, key firm archetypes, and business models within the financial services industry;

 

2)    Working with business leaders to lead the execution of complex enterprise-wide programs, including developing project plans, and implementing roadmaps, governance structures, and stakeholder responsibility assignment (RACI) matrices;

 

3)    Assessing and managing the impact of business solutions on enterprise business, technology architecture, operating processes, and organization structure by creating technical and functional specifications, capability maps, and detailed process flows;  

 

4)    Applying business and economic decision-making methodologies and frameworks, including competitive cost and decision analysis, product portfolio prioritization, capability assessment, and pricing strategies; and,

 

5)    Developing complex and comprehensive financial models reflecting revenue projections, expense breakdown analyses, quantitative risk assessments, and business valuations.
