The Relationship Manager for New York Life's Registered Investment Advisor, Eagle Strategies, will serve as a liaison between The Company, our Financial Advisors, Vendors, and Third-Party Firms.  This role requires an  organized problem solver with a track record of working collaboratively as part of a cross-functional team.  The Relationship Manager will support the overall strategy to build and evolve our advanced service offering, delivering an elite level of service to our top clients/financial advisors.



Relationship Management:

  • Responsible for coordinating efforts between various external vendors and internal counterparties to deliver a high-quality service experience to top financial advisors affiliated with Eagle Strategies
  • On a daily basis, research, prioritize, and respond to all incoming inquiries for assistance from financial advisors and key vendors.
  • Travel to advisor offices on an ad hoc basis, provide training, and support related to platform enhancements and future deployments
  • Liaise with various business areas of New York Life, improving collaboration across business units for top advisors and large client opportunities
  • Forge partnerships with key platform relationships and ensure key platform relationships are held accountable to SLAs




  • Knowledgeable user of Eagle Strategies procedures and familiar with policies in place.
  • General understanding of all platform technologies such as Wealthscape, Envestnet and FBSI.

Eagle Product set:

  • General understanding of Eagle Managed Accounts and the intended purpose of various investment products
  • Basic knowledge of Financial Planning process 
  • Coordinates responses to Practice Management inquiries
  • Salesforce  - Uses CRM system to record daily activity

Escalations Reporting:

  • Manage escalations process with the assistance of colleagues or other Relationship Managers
  • Create and be accountable for a measurable service experience
  • Respond to a wide range of service inquiries & requests including highly complex matters relating to operational workflows that include several different parties

Associates Qualifications:

  • Builds knowledge of NYL processes and customers
  • Analyzes possible solutions using experience, judgment and precedents
  • Receives a moderate level of guidance and direction
  • Exemplifies teamwork and sharing
  • Demonstrates organization and the ability to lead small scale projects

Additional Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Finance, or Economics preferred 
  • 2-3 years of experience in product management, sales support, operations, service, relationship management, or business development
  • Organizational savvy, project management skills,  ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Must demonstrate ability to work in time sensitive situations dealing with multiple stakeholders
  • Familiarity with wealth management industry and various advisor practice types
  • Knowledge of investment management platforms and investment operations (RIA and Broker-Dealer)
  • Series 7 and 66 preferred
