Position Overview

The individual in this role will be a key member of the Retail Annuities Strategy team, which works closely with senior management to define and articulate business strategy, explore and drive growth and efficiency opportunities for the business, and support oversight and execution of strategic initiatives. This role is primarily focused on (1) supporting strategic business initiatives, (2) developing competitive and industry insights, and (3) developing business analyses incl. management reporting.

 

 

Role Description

 

Strategic Initiatives

  • Research and analyze internal and external business drivers to uncover insights and identify new areas of opportunity for the business
  • Own and lead projects with responsibility to define the problem statement and project scope, conduct issues & gap assessment, design solution options incl. pros & cons, develop cost-benefit analysis, and develop actionable recommendations
  • Support execution of cross-functional business initiatives and coordinate stakeholder interactions

 

Competitive Insights, Business Analyses, and Management Reporting

  • Research and monitor competitors and annuity & retirement industry trends; and synthesize insights and implications for leadership consumption
  • Structure and develop quantitative and qualitative/conceptual analyses to address business questions
  • Analyze financial and operational data and prepare reports, as necessary
  • Own and coordinate leadership performance reporting & review cadences

 

 

Desired Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of professional work experience
  • Desired backgrounds include management consulting, corporate strategy, corporate finance
  • Analytical skills including experience structuring and building complex quantitative analyses
  • Communication (written and oral) and project/process management skills
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Proficient in using SQL to build queries and extract data from enterprise databases
  • Proficient in using tools such as Microsoft Access, Tableau, and Power BI
  • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA is a plus
  • Experience in the financial services industry is a plus, but not required
