Senior Associate - Lead Engineer

Role Overview:
- Direct the day-to-day work efforts of the development teams according to the business and technical requirements of the program.
- Liaise between solution architecture, enterprise architecture and the development team to ensure the prescribed architectural patterns are implemented by the development team.
- Transform hi-level architecture into low-level design that the development teams can follow.
- Develop into the internal NYL SME for Talent Path and Recruiting: acting as technical point SME for all recruiting capabilities that technology has enabled for the product stakeholders.
- Responsible for integration design between the Talent Path Recruiting solution and all the necessary data, solutions, and services endpoints needed.
- Partner with the Scrum Master and Product Owner to refine and analyze the backlog and drive the technical delivery of features and user stories into working software (and specifications).
What You’ll Do:
- Provides technical solutions to the business, leveraging technical expertise and understanding of the infrastructure (what is and what is not possible).
- Actively participate in daily standup calls, sprint planning and Production Increment (PI) planning sessions.
- Actively collaborate with and align to information, data, security and infrastructure strategies.
- Proposes new technical standards for their element(s) of the infrastructure and plans with architecture to implement those plans.
- Works with Enterprise Architecture team to ensure standards and best practices are being adhered to.
- Partners with Business stakeholders and to review and understand business requirements.
- Participates in, or leads, the development of roadmaps related to their area(s) of expertise.
- Design strategy for configuration management, automated testing and production deployments.
- Ensures the alignment of architectural designs and solutions with the organization's business objectives and architectural standards, principles & patterns
- Conducts complete assessments of complex business problems, including those involving multiple systems, customers, platforms, and technologies.
- Proposes technology solutions and designs architectural blueprints within areas of the team’s development.
- Supports initiatives through the entire solution delivery lifecycle from initial kickoff to production deployment, identifying potential technical risks and develops mitigation plans
- Optionally supports Solution Architect in the evaluation and decision process based on SME experience on in Recruiting
- Stays current and well versed on future state tech such as Salesforce, Unqork, AWS, and Mulesoft.
- Stays current on NYL architectural standards
- Identifies and suggests technical and architectural improvements in current systems
- Partners with Business stakeholders and to review and understand business requirements
- Supports the project through the entire software development lifecycle from initial kickoff to production deployment
- Contributes to strategic technology planning, including proposed cost implications.
What You’ll Bring:
• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field and 5-9 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in implementations and integration projects is a must.
Pay Transparency
Salary Range: $95,000-$162,500
Overtime eligible: Exempt
Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes
Sales bonus eligible: No
Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual’s experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
