Working under the direction of the Quality Assurance Manager, the Risk Analyst is responsible for performing functional Quality Assurance reviews on various service processes.  The position is expected to conduct focused quality assurance reviews and risk assessments as scheduled for multiple departments and processes across the NYL service organization.



  • Conduct thorough QA reviews of complex processes to identify control deficiencies and to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in operation
  • Create and execute appropriate analytics/test plans by performing risk assessments
  • Verbal and written correspondence with leadership regarding process improvements and recommendations
  • Participate in special projects as assigned by the QA Manager: creating and maintaining a quality hub for business partners, market conduct testing, identifying personal identifiable information in our admin systems, etc.
  • On large scale quality assurance reviews, may act as the lead on the review and direct other team members.



  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a Business related discipline
  • 3+ years of experience in Audit, Risk, Quality Assurance or related role with operational process focus, preferably within the Insurance industry
  • Demonstrated risk assessment, business writing, and data analysis skills
  • Strong Microsoft, Word, Excel and Outlook proficiency required; Visio and Tableau experience preferred
