Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the handling of all mail this includes emails and faxes that are sent directly to our image system. 
  • Preparing the mail for scanning and indexing to our workflow system.
  • Set up and code all new claims in claims systems.  
  • Communicate with our Administrators as needed to ensure all portions of new claim forms are complete. 
  • Maintain claim forms and claims assignment sheet for the claims department.  
  • Assist examiners with any clerical request and/or reserving conference rooms as needed.   
  • Maintain claims department contact sheet.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, good written, verbal and phone skills. Must have working knowledge of MS Products (Word, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Good computer skills, ability to work in multiple systems.  Intermediate skills in word and excel.
  • Familiar with claims operations.
  • Prioritizes work to meet daily deadlines.
  • Review and analyze information that was provided by our third-party administrators.
  • Handle all new claims and verify accuracy based on file documentation.
  • Ensure all documents are properly scanned into our system, setting up new claims timely, sending acknowledgement letters timely. 
  • Supporting the GMAD Claims department.
  • Sends letters on claims and makes phone calls to obtain necessary information needed to process claims. 
  • Need to communicate among the team and other departments to meet deadlines as well as Third Party Administrators.

Salary range: $35,000-$50,000 

Overtime eligible: Nonexempt 

Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes
